Windows is another Jon Lord work of combining classical music with heavy rock. While this isn’t exactly the kind of musical fusion that normally gets me going, anything from Jon Lord in the 1970s is absolutely of interest to me. As Deep Purple has changed, so has the make up of Lord’s collaborators here, including David Coverdale, Glenn Hughes, and Tony Ashton. I literally just picked the album up yesterday, so this marks my very first spin of this LP. Can’t really make a full assessment at this time, but digging it so far.
1974 German pressing on EMI Electrola/Purple Records and the record is incredibly clean.
