Call Of The Mastodon collects the Lifesblood EP and the Slick Leg EP, both pre-Remission releases with the song “Call Of The Mastodon”, a track initially recorded for the band’s first and second demos, re-recorded for this release. Nice summary of early tunes, though some altering has taken place that might poss off some of the purists. I definitely need an OG copy of Lifesblood on vinyl for my own purposes, but I’m otherwise cool with this set. The band is fire in the early days and that cannot be denied.
2018 US repress on Relapse Records and it sounds amazing.
