Well, damn… here it is. I’ve recently been trying to get my head around post AJFA Metallica. This being the first album that was a major disappointment to me back when it came out, but in all honesty, I love the kick off track “Enter Sandman”, but always felt like the rest of the album never really got off the ground. Mid-tempo hellscape, IMHO. Still, giving it another shot today.
Can’t be arsed with purchasing Load and ReLoad… seriously, not gonna happen. I will pick back up with Death Magnetic, and if I manage to land a copy of the atrocity known as St Anger, I might buy it. I’ve always found it so terrible that it’s kind of interesting to me for some reason, haha.
2021 US reissue on Metallica’s own label, Blackened. Thankfully, this one sounds better the the terrible pressing of And Justice For All… sigh.
