Michael Schenker Group - Built To Destroy (1983)

After a single album with Graham Bonnet on the mic, Schenker brings singer Gary Barden back into the fold for Built To Destroy. It’s a good album, but doesn’t quite hit the high points of its predecessors. Still, Schenker is no slouch and can burn up the fretboard like no one else. Not as crucial as those first few releases, but worth checking out if you need a little more… I did!

1983 US pressing on Chrysalis and it sounds great. The cover seems a fitting depiction of Schenker’s struggles with alcohol and mental health at the time.
