David Coverdale must be an incredibly charming person. The man leveraged the shit oit of his Deep Purple credentials to produce a significant number of Whitesnake albums before the band actually ever broke big. So many of these albums are pretty low profile and shit… this lineup here is literally 3/5ths Deep Purple MkIII! One thing I can say is this early Whitesnake stuff is fantastic-fucking-tactic! It’s heavy, funky, features incredible playing all around, and is immaculately produced thanks to the genius of Martin Birch at thr helm. Good shit, this is!
