Fire Of Unknown Origin is right on track with BÖC’s hot streak at the start of the 1980s. Another collaboration with Martin Birch in the studio and the record is objectively outstanding. Even the radio friendly minor hit “Burnin’ For You” is excellent. My favorite BÖC albums are probably the first three and these two that they made with Birch. This is their first collaboration with artist Greg Scott, who so expertly visualizes what the band is about… and this band has a legacy of excellent cover art.
1981 US pressing on Columbia and it sounds ridiculously good.
