Oh yeah! Thrust is Hancock’s follow up to the equally brilliant (and more famous) Head Hunters album and it’s nothing short of incredible. Moments of hard hitting funk greatness and serene laid back passages of space, time, magical keys… so fucking cool. Some of the best jazz fusion there is.
1974 US pressing on Columbia. This particular pressing features an alternate layout from the original, which is a little funny as it’s basically the same source materials and look but with some different layout and font choices made. Still looks and sounds killer.
