Saurian Apocalypse is the most recent solo album from Nile mastermind Karl Sanders. The album lands a bit between the meditative Saurian Meditation and the percussive Saurian Exorcisms, yet also feels further developed and with a purpose of its own. Considering that Sanders initially started releasing solo material was because he had too many interlude ideas to work into Nile albums, this makes sense. Enjoyable album for occasional listening (for me), but generally solid overall.
