Absolute chaos. Adding grindcore to my tags because Napalm Death essentially pioneered this sub-genre with their hardcore punk compositions crushed together with thrash metal guitars and sensibilities. The album is made of two different recording sessions, and lineups, but it is the first and groundbreaking as fuck. I love this fucking tornado of an album. Cover art by Jeff Walker, who would eventually join forces with Bill Steer to form death metal legends Carcass.
2021 UK reissue from Earache Records. Landed this at a shop called All Ages Records in London just a few years ago and had a long conversation with the dude working the shop about music and record labels, etc. Weird how certain interactions are more impactful than others.
