Smote Reverser was the first album that I heard from (thee) Oh Sees. Was seeing Slayer (I think) with a good friend a few years back and he had recently blind purchased the album due to the cover looking awesome. I went to his place before we went and he played this album for me and boom… I knew I was in. The album refects more of the band’s progressive rock and psychedelic sides, shards of punk throughout and it’s quite excellent. The band is a brain bender in the best kind of way.
