Pentagram carries on with Last Rites. Although billed as a soft comeback, I’m not sure it quite measures up to that status. Still, it’s a solid enough album and certainly rises above the band’s previous couple of studio efforts. Victor Griffin’s participation surely keeps things up a notch or two from what they could be.
2011 European pressing on Metal Blade Records. For some reason I thought I had landed this used in Richmond, Virginia… but this was a San Francisco pickup, haha. I may have been on the road a lot prior to the pandemic hitting and that was very good for my record collection…. Like, that’s what to do on the road, y’all!
