Witchcraft’s debut album is a very lo-fi, 70s sounding record that was recorded using almost exclusively vintage gear. The band has their own cool vibe going on, but if I was to describe them I’d note a prominent early Black Sabbath and Pentagram influence, as well as similar approaches as peers like Burning Saviors or Graveyard (who Witchcraft pre-dates by a few years). Anyway, I really love their first three albums and especially this debut.
2019 European reissue from Rise Above Records and yessss, it’s nice.
