Dissonance Theory is Coroner’s first all new studio album since Grin was released in 1993! While I am still soaking this beautiful thing into my ears and brain, I am stunned at how it’s literally everything I was hoping it would be and then some. Coroner was one of the most important bands of the 1980s prog/tech thrash movement and appears to have be reclaiming their spot as one of the greatest thrash bands ever. Loving the absolute fuck out of this record and certainly a top contender for best album of 2025 for me. Possibility one of the best of the decade, and we’re only 5 years in, haha. Expecting this to be on high rotation for a while.
2025 first pressing (just released today) on Century Media and it sounds phenomenal.
