In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida is of course the band’s most famous album with the title track, typically in an edited form, becoming a massive hit. Outside of that, it’s a pretty solid psychedelic heavy rock album for 1968 and exhibits the first output of this Iron Butterfly’s classic, stable lineup.
1969 US repress on Atco Records. This was easily the first Iron Butterfly album I bought back in high school. I can’t remember if I got it because my wife (girlfriend at the time) recommended it or if I bought it because my band was looking to cover the title track. Regardless, I’m happy to have it.
