Metamorphosis is as the title describes. Iron Butterfly is going through lineup changes while also struggling to find their path with the changing scene going into the 1970s. The album is pretty good and I’d say a good effort towards evolving, but the band would fold not long after with Lee Dorman and new guitarist going on to form the most excellent Captain Beyond. I like this album quite a bit though.
