Sun And Steel is thr end of Iron Butterfly, creatively and commercially, the band is in a sad state. The album is all over the place stylistically. There a few good bits here and there, but this album is solidly without direction. A weird closure for such an iconic act. Of course the band would eventually continue in many different iterations, but as an original recording act, this is the end.
1975 US pressing on MCA Records. Plays great and all.
