Quiet Nights is a collaboration between Miles Davis and Gil Evans. Mostly easy going jazz and definitely a cool mood setting type of album for the most part, but a sit down listen reveals some pretty cool shit going on, even if more subdued. I’m in deep with Miles’ electric stuff and have been working on branching out into other areas of his music with largely excellent results.
1971 US reissue on Columbia and it sounds real nice. Just landed this at a cool shop called Needle In The Groove in San Jose, California.
