One By One is apparently a soundtrack to a film of the same name, but it doesn’t exactly play like a score as much as a a collection of tunes likely featured in the film… but I haven’t seen the movie and this is my first ever spin of the album, so naturally I don’t know shit. It’s a nice record though. Some good jazz/fusion/prog grooves with a bit of funk/blues vibes… even orchestral bits. It’s basically all over the map, hah. Extra points for heavy ass fuzz bass at key moments.
