On The Boards is the second LP from underground heavy blues rock legends Taste. Hard to describe in a meaningful way, the band have carved out a special kind of heavy blues rock that hit similarly to Led Zeppelin in their deepest blues state without any of the fantasy overtones. But shit, that’s a weak ass overview, honestly. there is epic shit going on with this release and I’ve not even started in on the legendary Rory Gallagher and his playing on this record. Turn your ears in this direction.
This is a late 1970s German pressing on Polydor. How it sounds so damn good is a mystery to me, but it hits the mark.
