Aardvark (1970)

Aardvark were a UK progressive rock act that formed in the late sixties and dropped just one album before splitting up. What was unique with these guys is they opted for a sound with no guitar, instead leveraging the many keyboard oriented sounds of Steve Milliner. This isn’t so much much like ELP or the Nice, but more jazzy and bluesy with swirling organs, warm tones, and footed in psychedelic vibes. One of a kind album and I just love the shit out of it.

1998 unofficial UK pressing that looks almost identical as the original Deram/Nova press except that there’s a color indicator on the back cover of the original indicating if it’s a mono or stereo pressing (red or blue) and this one is black. Look me a minute to figure out. Regardless , the album sounds amazing and this is indeed a stereo pressing.
