The Third Storm Of Cythrául represents Absu’s second conceptual cycle, moving from Sumerian to Celtic mythological themes. Musically, this these lunatics continue to plays an intricate, yet brutally insane version of technical black metal,,if I had to classify what I’m hear. Solid record, without a doubt. Not for everybody, but I dig it.
2020 US/EU “2013 alternate stereo mix edition” repress from Osmose Productions. The original ‘97 mix of this is pretty noisy, lots of reverb, not as defined, where this version is pretty sharp.
