This is of course a bootleg release and on its surface, it looks pretty cool. Unfortunately, the kickoff track “Return To The Eve” is in fact the 1985 re-recording found on the Tragic Serenades EP, but mixed down in a way to sound like a shitty cassette… but it’s undoubtedly that version. This sort red flags the whole release as I wonder if any of this is what it’s stated to be. If this was just a boombox tape of Celtic Frost rehearsing in 1984, I’d be fine that. Things do get sound a bit more like possible rehearsals for the rest of LP, but I’m now suspicious of the whole thing. The replica of the old press release is hella cool though.
