After Chrome split up in 1983, Damon Edge relocated to Europe and continued to release music under the Chrome moniker with various musicians up until 1994 when he passed away. After his death, classic era Chrome guitarist Helios Creed began to release music under the Chrome name around 1996. Amazingly, Creed’s Chrome output is closer in overall feel and flow to the band’s original material. I don’t own a lot of this later Chrome as of yet, but recently came across this copy of Scaropy, which is a fairly recent release and pretty cool. More structured and song driven than early Chrome, but it’s weird, psychedelic, and very post-punk.
2021 US pressing from Cleopatra.
