No Cross No Crown is the most recent album from Corrosion Of Conformity and the last to feature the band’s iconic original rhythm section of Mike Dean and Reed Mullen. I was pretty stoked to get this when it came out… with the reunion of Pepper and the band’s classic lineup of Weatherman/Dean/Mullen, it seemed like it’d be epic, but it’s never really struck me as an engaging recording, despite the players involved. Hoping another round will hit me in the feels, but this one ain’t among the band’s best, sadly. It’s not terrible or anything, it’s just not all that exciting for some reason.
