I more or less stumbled upon Expo ‘70 earlier this year while trying to fill out some of my Date Palms discography and both acts were on a 4-way split release together. It didn’t take much to get me interested in the psychedelic drone vibes from guitarist and soundscape designer Justin Wright and his Expo ‘70. Fantastic space rock ambient sounds. I’m in!
2010 US pressing (first ever vinyl release) from Sonic Meditations and it sounds great. I’ve recently ordered a pile of Expo ‘70 LPs via Discogs as they appear to be not that popular right now (aka cheap to buy), so feels like a good time to round up a few of their releases. I’ve downloaded a bunch of their stuff, but some kf their stuff is tough to get, even digitally. Looking forward to more of these coming in.
