Finally getting a chance to play Gentle Giant’s self titled debut album and it pull you right in. Intricate and beautiful progressive rock of the highest order. I came into Gentle Giant a little funny, randomly picking up LPs because they were prog, cheap, and looked cool. However I started in on them woru tje wrong expectations and only recently have started to appreciate them on a deeper level. What was always missing for me was this album, that I don’t hear until much later… What an excellent debut!
1972 Canadian pressing on Vertigo, with the Vertigo swirl label, and it sounds great. Been looking for a copy in the wild for ages and finally picked this up in Ottawa back in September. Stoked.
