This is of course the debut album from Swedish guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen. Less of an album of proper songs and more of a collection of musical themes designed for Yngwie to shred over. Yet, I do really enjoy his playing, regardless of how much of a tool he seems in real life. I suppose former musician in me is still drawn to shit like this. Jeff Scott Soto only sings on a bit of the album, but he’s great, in my humble opinion.
1984 US pressing on Polydor.
