Rock For Light was a massive album for Bad Brains and 80s hardcore punk overall. Produced by none other than Ric Ocasek of the Cars, the album gained the band a lot of recognition and underscored the importance of diversity of thought and approaches in punk rock. Despite a number of newly recorded, but previously released tracks and some new bangers, this album absolutely smokes. Crucial for anyone remotely interested in understanding punk rock.
2021 reissue on Bad Brains Records/ORG Music and it’s superb! I had an older vinyl reissue on PVC but it was a nightmare of a release and so glad to have this proper edition that better represents the original album.
