As evidenced by the title, this is Blue Cheer’s fifth album and it’s pretty cool. The band have pretty much settled into a more easy going groove than the proto-metal heavy fuzz of the late 60s. While their heavier material remains my favorite, this material has killer vibes and still kicks out the jams.
Quick edit: I fucking love this record. Sooooo much groove, maaaaaan… bliss.
1970 US pressing on Philips. I found this last week at a Boston shop after years of trying to find in the wild. Super happy with this copy too.
