Parched With Thirst Am I And Dying is a Celtic Frost anthology release that was initially meant to encompass the band’s history from 1984-1992, even including two new demo tracks from a theoretical forthcoming album that never materialized. The more widely available CD version included a nice cross section of the band’s discography while this single LP version seems to focus largely on material that was harder to get at the time. While it cuts a lot of great tracks, it leaves all the harder to get stuff, making a pretty worthy pickup regardless of the amended track listing. The big one for me is the two demo tracks “Idols Of Chagrin” and “Under Apollyon’s Sun” while aren’t available anywhere else. “Journey Into Fear”, initially tracked during the Emperor’s Return EP sessions remains another favorite. Probably not for everyone, but something I’m pretty happy to have on the ‘ol turntable.
1992 European pressing on Noise International..Bought this from a shop in the Netherlands via Discogs and just received in the mail today. Stoked.
