Doomed Heavy Metal is basically an EP featuring three studio tracks on side A and three live cuts on side B. Of the studio tracks, two are covers… Dio, of course, and an oddball Lloyd Chandler tune, leaving “Empty Throne” as the only new song. The three live tunes are great as well. Cool little release and the band’s last before signing to the much larger Nuclear Blast Records.
