If you dig 70s heavy rock and proto-metal at all, you are surely already familiar with Leaf Hound and their sole album, Growers Of Mushroom. We’re stalking ultra heavy blues based jams somewhere in the space between LED Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, but with their own unique sound and vibe. Vocalist Peter French is a force of nature and his talents are on full display here. The album really is a masterpiece and I’d say essential listening for anyone into 70s heavy rock or metal.
2010-11 Italian reissue from Akarma and it’s a beauty.
