Metal For Breakfast was a goofy heavy metal compilation from Canadian label Attic Records. Attic is/was a great Toronto based heavy metal label that used to license acts for Canadian distribution as well as signing and promoting Canadian acts such as Razor and Anvil, etc. This comp feature a few Canadian acts such as Killer Dwarfs, Anvil, & Lee Aaron, but also a lot of other artists, many of whom were massive at the time. There’s also a Roadrunner Records tie-in here. Aside from being a massive fan of Canadian metal, I’m not sure how I’m so familiar with this Canada only release, but here we are.
1984 Canadian pressing on Attic Records and it’s absolutely mint. $15 pickup from the fantastic Armageddon Shop in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Stoked to have it. Link includes the original TV commercial for this gem and a playlist of the full LP.
