A Keg Full Of Dynamite is an archival release that largely consists of a live performance recorded at a venue called The Keg in 1978, with two studio cuts recorded at High Voltage Studios in 1979. Known as the high voltage era, there is very little out there from this dual-guitarist lineup, making this a really cool thing to hear. The live recording is pretty raw, and not all that dynamic, but the band is smokin’ and by the first track I’ve already adjusted to the audio quality. Killer release.
2003 Italian pressing on Black Widow Records. This is a generally a hard to find and expensive album, so did not expect to find an affordable copy in the wild, but that happened recently while working, and being stuck, in Boston with all the snow. Has a bit of moisture damage on the back cover, but I can live with it.
