Rat Music For Rat People, Volume 3 came out three years after the second installment and it’s striking how much the sound of punk has changed from 1984 to 1987. The crossover movement was already in full effect with many acts incorporating metal into their sound while others seem to be leaning to a more alternative rock sound that would get huge into the 1990s. Largely hard to find or unreleased studio cuts including Corrosion Of Conformity’s “Bound” which has really been on anything else. Cool record and a nice finale to the Rat Music series.
1988 US pressing on CD Presents, Ltd. I believe I got both this and the Rat Music Vol. 2 LP together though the Toxic Shock mailorder catalog in 1988.
