Pinhas had zero problems embracing the 1980s electronic sounds of the time and deploys them for interesting and largely unconventional sonic results. The album sounds more digital than previous works, but this bothers me way less here than it has with other progressive electronic music artists. “New York: West Side” almost sounds like an 80s pop song, hah. Fantastic album, on my opinion.
1980 UK pressing on the Pulse label and it’s lovely.
