Of course everyone knows of Vangelis the famous Greek New Age music musician, but I was only loosely aware that he made progressive rock music outside of his time with Aphrodite’s Child. The album Earth is is fist proper solo album that isn’t prepared work for a film soundtrack and it’s an incredible piece of work. The album kicks off with the stomping “Come On” and then eases into the beautiful “We Were All Uprooted” and the journey begins. The album incorporates a number of different types of music; heavy rock, ambient, middle eastern, folk and more. Absolutely worth checking out if you don’t know it.
