The debut album from krautrock legends Faust is a wild ride. Very much on the experimental and sound collage end of the spectrum here, this is not a casual listening experience, but more of a sensory engagement that moves between fascinating and unpleasant. I real like this album, but it’s definitely not for everyone, haha. Legendary musical statement.
2017 Russian/Spanish reissue from Lilith. While it’s a nice representation of the original 1971 packaging, the reviews about this pressing are all bad. Still, after some mindful cleaning, my copy actually sounds fine. A little concerned about outgassing from the plastic sleeve, but will see how it goes.
