Beat was conceived by Adrian Belew to celebrate the 1980s era of King Crimson and while it sort of looks like a tribute project on its surface, this is fucking amazing. Along with Belew on vocals/guitar, we also have Tony Levin, Steve Vai, and Tool drummer Danny Carey. Awesome selection of tunes, outstanding performances, and the production is perfection, all the way! I figured this would be good, but this has clearly exceeded my expectations.
2025 limited edition US 3xLP pressing from Inside Out Music/Sony Music and it’s no less than outstanding. Recently found this used at a local shop for like $23 and cannot believe my luck!
