O.K. Ken was Chicken Shack’s second album and still very much in the classic blues rock framework that they kicked things off with when they unleashed their debut LP on the year prior. Not too serious overall, but absolutely smokin’ blues rock and some good motherfucking listening! The band’s last with Christine Perfect before joining Fleetwood Mac and changing her last name to McVie. Hot damn, this is good jams.
1969 Holland pressing on Blue Horizon and it’s a beauty. I recently came across this at a shop in Amsterdam and I am very pleased about it.
