The first time I ever played this album I was thoroughly confused as it was such a throwback in comparison to the preceding Get Up With It. Then I learned this LP was sourced from two different session in the mid to late 1960s and put out at a time when Miles had temporarily retired from the music industry. While not as cohesive as the string of albums he had released up to this point, it remains an exceptional listening experience.
1977 US pressing on Columbia.
