While regular folks don’t often consider Def Leppard a crucial part of the NWOBHM movement, they are likely the most successful band from the scene, arguably second only to Iron Maiden. Yes, Def Leppard are mostly known as an arena rock, stadium packing pop band with a hard rock edge, but they started out as a legitimate metal band and I’d say their three albums are pretty much a healthy serving of big ‘ol musical titties! All good, end to end and I just wanna stick my head in there and indulge in some sonic motorboating! What am I even saying!? On Through The Night finds the band still working out their signature sound, but it’s a fucking great album!
