Trancefer is a pretty good representation of Klaus Schulze’s direction for the 1980s. Percussive, percolating electronics, digital, a bit cold. I very much dig this era, but don’t find it as engaging as Schulze’s 70s output. Solid album, but if you’re early on the Klaus Schulze journey, start with something like Moondawn or Timewind for those gorgeous warm waves of analog synths.
