The Garden Of Unearthly Delights is a surprisingly excellent album from Cathedral at a time when I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect from them. Perfectly crushing riffs and overall the song craft is very good. Some objectively excellent tunes on this record. Not sure if I’m crazy, but there are some direct Hellhammer references in some of the riffs with this album. The second LP is entirely made up of a single track titled “The Garden” and it’s an epic piece of doom. Good shit here, end to end.
2019 European reissue from Back On Black and it’s all good.
