The Fragile Art Of Existence is the first and only proper release from Chuck Shuldiner’s progressive metal band, Control Denied. While there is are similarities in song structures and composition styles from Death to this band; the overall vibe and intent is much different with an emphasis on melody and musicality versus speed and aggression. Not that this isn’t an absolute metal album, the emphasis has just shifted. Steve DiDiorgio’s bass playing on this record is where it’s at for me
2018 worldwide reissue from Relapse Records. 2xLP that plays at 45rpm and sounds phenomenal.
