So, like, I’m trying to imagine the A&R guy explaining to the band how this cover concept is a good idea… and despite all logic screaming at the top of its lungs to not go with this concept, the band still went for it. Once you get past the cover, you are then confronted with a very confusing mix of broadway musicals crossed with Emerson, Lake & Palmer and Yes. As much as it sucks when it first hits your ears, you sort of comprehend how well put together the whole thing is… this is somebody’s passion project. Whether or not the driving force of this effort was someone in the band or not is unknown to me, but this train wreck of an album was made with love. Fucking awesome!
