A couple of years can make a huge difference in how a band sounds, it seems. Change Of Address finds Krokus totally embracing that LA hair metal sound of the time. Full disclosure; this is my first time ever listening to this record, which I picked up at a small Vinyl & Brew record show by my house last year. The songs are alright (so far) but the production is big time hair metal overblown everything. I should hate it, but I don’t haha. What has become of me?! The Alice Cooper cover of “Schools Out” is alright. Somehow the band got Alan Holdsworth to guest on the last track “Long Way From Home” and my brain is broken.
1986 US pressing on Arista. This was actually still sealed when I found it, but with a cutout on the upper right and some notable shelf wear from kicking around all these years… still, the LP itself is like brand new.
