Mother Gong was one off many incarnations (or offshoots) of Gong, though it being a project of Gilli Smyth ensures it would likely be something wild… and it is. Quite literally retellings of fairy tales with narration, voice performances, and spaced out psychedelic music throughout. Sort of awesome, but also whack as fuck. I dig it.
2025 worldwide reissue on Charly Records and its sounds pretty good.
