By the time Roorback came out in 2003, I was pretty much on the fence with Sepultura. My initial impression of the album wasn’t that great, but I came across a deluxe version of the CD that included the Revolusongs EP as a bonus disc (just like this LP), but it was hella cheap, like $5, so I got it. It still didn’t hit me that hard at the time, but grew on me after some years. I struggled a little bit with Sepultura’s direction..: or more so, not really comprehending their intent at the time. Whatevs, the album sounds pretty good to me now. The band has had a weird path, but they’ve barely shit the bed, like ever.
2021 European reissue as part of the Sepulnation box set, with the Revolusongs EP as a bonus..Pretty fucking nice.
