Traitors Gate were a bit of a late breaking band on the NWOBHM scene in the 80s. Formed in Wales in 1982, Devil Takes The High Road, which initially came out in 1985 as a 3-song EP was their only release during their initial run. Largely overlooked at the time, they largely faded into obscurity until the EP became sought after years later. It’s a very cool little record and definitely deserves lots of appreciation. This High Roller reissue includes three additional songs and makes for a badass NWOBHM mini-LP.
2018 German reissue on High Roller Records and it’s fantastic. My son actually turned me on to this album and I am forever thankful for his excellent tastes.
